Result for the matchday 2 draw with HAGL: There wasn’t much consensus, with the top 3 picking up just 28, 24 and 22 points respectively from the 24 voters. Trent Buhagiar’s goal off the bench was enough to win him his 3rd MOTM for the season.
If you’re awake now, kill some time before the Jeonbuk match by putting in your votes for our two losses to Yokohama. And watch out for voting to open after tonight’s match.

Results are in for the two losses to Yokohama:
For the 0-1 loss, Max Burgess got 33 votes from the 23 voters for his 6th MOTM for the season. Behind him, the two next best players earned 17 votes each, so getting 1.5 points each for Player of the Season.
For the 0-3 loss, we had one more voter (24) and one more vote for the winner (34), this time Patrick Yazbek. It’s his second MOTM for the season.
So, there are two ACL matches currently open for voting (CLICK HERE), with at least two more ALM matches to come. That means there are at least four players still in with a shot at Player of the Season (up to eight players if we make the Grand Final (
)), so every vote counts!

Results for our last two ACL matches:
MOTM for the loss to Jeonbuk was Patrick Wood. He only came on in the 84th minute, but he’s not the latest sub to win MOTM: Marco Tilio (whatever happened to that guy) won it coming on in the 88th minute in Gosford in 2020. It’s Wood’s 3rd MOTM for the season.
For the loss to HAGL it was Anthony Caceres, taking his 7th of the season. That is the highest tally of MOTM wins so far in 2021–22.
With two games to go, there are still three players with a chance to win Player of the Season. There’s another 24h to vote for the loss to Victory, and the Brisbane match will close on Tuesday night. All votes appreciated!
Results for the last two matches of the season:
vs Melbourne Victory: Adam Le Fondre got MOTM to go along with his goal. It was close, as he beat second place by just 2 votes.
vs Brisbane Roar: Anthony Caceres took his 8th MOTM for the season, picking up votes from 21 of 22 voters.

Working through the results tonight. The first thing to say is thanks to everyone who voted throughout the year. 
Across the 37 matches in all competitions, we received 1,164 votes - an average of just over 31 per match. That’s a bit down from the previous season (37.4), but is probably not surprising given our results + six late night ACL matches.
There were 81 unique voters. Massive thanks to the four legends who voted in every single match, and the nine others who just missed one match. As before, every vote submitted gets an entry into our prize draw — here they are:
