A-League Women's Squad Speculation 2022/23

That’s a great signing for them

Noo, Chloe Lo-gar-zo

Maybe worth a thread title update (or new thread?).

Squad list just announced:

  • Natalie Tobin
  • Princess Ibini
  • Mackenzie Hawkesby
  • Rachel Lowe
  • Charlotte McLean
  • Charlie Rule
  • Sarah Hunter
  • Deborah Anne De La Harpe
  • Kirsty Fenton
  • Abbey Lemon
  • Jynaya Dos Santos
  • Katie Offer
  • Shay Hollman
  • Mary Stanic-Floody
  • Indiana Dos Santos
  • Anika Stajcic

Main losses I haven’t heard officially announced are Vine & Whyman :frowning:

Sydney FC expect to make further signing announcements in the build up to the season in mid-November

Crap, we’ve got no hope of finals without a solid keeper if Whyman is gone.

Any relation to that bloke coaching the Philippines?

It’s actually in the article.

Updated thread title. But did we go new ones for new seasons?

And absolutely. Whyman is such a key but she does feel due for a big Euro move.

I hope we re-sign both Wyman and Vine but both are definitely good enough to play in Europe’s top flight.

Cheers, I really should’ve clicked the link.

Big hole to fill at LB now too.

All of the notable names that are missing are worth an individual announcement imo, so I don’t think they’re necessarily not coming back?

Nice little potential Easter egg in the members email :shushing_face:

Care to share for those of us not currently members?

I didn’t notice the first time, too distracted by the Wilkinson video

How much chance is it an Easter egg vs someone who has no idea who the female players are?

Any chance Saint Theresa makes a return this season?

Remy Seimsen is back?

Not really news, but the most I’ve heard is this line in an article she wrote yesterday:

I’m not sure yet what role I will play at Sydney FC this season, if any…

Honestly, if she wants to be involved I think we should bring her back in.
This doesn’t mean that we guarantee her game time but I think we’re missing out if we don’t have her in and around the squad in some capacity.

My Fav SFCW player of all time. Was at Cromer when she scored that free kick, and we won the premiership that night in the rain against Victory.

Was also the night i took a lady out on our first date, we ended up eating free hot chips in the rain at the end. We’re no longer together. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Test No: 1 … worked…

Re. Test #2… I think that only works for seagulls, not so much women.
