Ah, but were we competitive in that match?

Perfectly summerised.

Great evening for football all round.

Insert internet equivalent of pointing at boots and expressing frustration.

Costa’s delivery was indeed excellent, love that he was trying to pick out Klimala from a variety of ranges and angles, he must’ve seen enough on the training park to know he’s a good target.

Klimala didn’t score and can work on timing runs better (thought there was a dodgy offside call or two, but you don’t get the benefit of the doubt when there have been a few poor ones already), but saw enough to show he’ll be a handful. Very unlucky with the low one across the 6 yard box that drew a good save in the first half, put a header a whisker over in the second half after attacking the near post really well also. Liked the cut of his jib.

We were 100% a worse side when Costa went off.

He can find those magic passes nobody else can.

Early days and Costa going off.

Anyone get a crowd figure?
Lower deck was about 2/3rds full, from what I could see…
Sounded like a fair crowd upstairs too…

4000 odd.

Yap needs some more props. Immense game from him.

I’d like to declare myself as the #1 member of the Yapp Hung Fai fan club. Emiliano Martinez wishes he was him.

4,021 was the precise announcement.

My group of 23 gave a big cheer when we saw the crowd figure, we got us up over the 4k mark!

Not enough love for Klimala’s little flick on for Ouahim’s second goal.

I’ve watched two different highlight packages and already heard two different pronunciations for ā€œOuahimā€.

The first (which was the game commentator I think) added a k sound to the front which ended up like ā€œka-himā€ and the second (the AFC Hub highlights package) pronounced it like ā€œOo-ah-himā€.

Which is it?

OK thanks so both the game commentator and the ACL highlights butchered the pronunciation.

From that, it looks like if it was spelt Anas Wahim it would be close to right, rather than focusing on the O too much

Surely we are going to refer to him as Anas at every possible opportunity?

Also, good to see Rhyno heading back into beast mode, hopefully being captain continues this form after pretty uninspiring seasons post COVID where we were writing him off.
