We are playing well but look too desperate to score, this Bangkok team are not very good it turns out, but of course could have scored one or two early.
Refereeing is absolutely terrible, and if the AFC wants this comp to be taken seriously then it must improve the officiating.

I don’t know if we want that. The Qataris have been spending big on their toddler academies and they’re just going to show us up. The club really needs to be investing more in the 1 year olds that are the future of the sport.

We could lose this one 4-0 and I’d be optimistic about us winning by 5 over there, or we could win 4-0 and I’d be nervous with throwing it away over there - tough conditions and we will be playing that weekend too from memory.

Everyone who doesn’t play regularly in those conditions suffers. I would be shocked if we had a big performance and win. Win here and then hold the ball as much as possible, button down the hatches, don’t be afraid to shut the game down.
I think he probably needs a break. If A.Grant can come in and Popovic can play again then Grant back to fullback for at least a match of two would probably do him good.
At least that will reduce the Bangkok level humidity
