So what you’re saying is I’m good at predicting?
But I’m also shit at predicting?

As always, just happy not to be coming last.
The last few didn’t seem too hard to predict. A few others close to the mark, too. Without knowing the final rank, I’d say that’s another solid season’s work for me!
Pretty close, except for Wood being one of those players.
I’d argue this would be close to right. He didn’t play a single game for Wellington, did he?
I really thought that the season would be much closer. Like a handfulof points between 1-8.
But it doesn’t seem to have turned out to be very close at all? The top six has been seemed settled or at least predictable for about a third of the season?
Obviously Wellington, CCM and Macarthur to an extent outperformed their expectation. And Sydney and City underperformed.
About all I got right was predicting Doka as the best new find and Lolley as SFC player of the season.
Doka looked like an NPL player for the first half of the season, but boy has he taken off since then! Something has definitely clicked there. It doesn’t matter which wing he plays on, he’s still as dangerous.
1: Melbourne City
2: Western Sydney Wanderers
3: Melbourne Victory
4: Sydney FC
5: Macarthur
6: Perth Glory
7: Brisbane Roar
8. Wellington Phoenix
9: Central Coast Mariners
10: Western United
11: Adelaide United
12: Newcastle Jets
Well I got 3-5 perfect. A bit off with 1-2.
Grand final winner: Melbourne City
Grand final runner-up: Melbourne City vs WSW
Lol. Guess City can still win
Player of the season: Tolgay Arsalan
Player of the grand final: Marin Jakolis
Golden boot: James Maclaren
Best new signing: Tolgay Arsalan
Arsalan wasnt such a bad shout. Had more goal involvements than Lolley so hes a definite chance.
Best young player (U23): Kealey Adamson (for MCFC)
Biggest flop signing:
SFC player of the season: Gabriel Lacerda
SFC golden boot: Robert Mak
Forgetting to pick a flop signing was probably my second best prediction here.
The 2023/24 season is behind us, the Premier is known, the Champions are still to be determined and another off-season approaches. As we walk quietly into that dark night it is reassuring to know that there is another winner of the ALM Season Predictions thread and that person is…

Here are the official results for the SFCU ALM Season Prediction thread.
Please note that in the above table, “zero” refers to a correct prediction of a club’s place in the table.
Here is a breakdown of collective wisdom of the SFCU forum, I think our predictions would have been more accurate if we’d picked the order of teams by throwing darts blindfolded.
Here is the full breakdown of all predictors scores. Please let me know if you find any typos and I will make the correction.
HERE WE GO! Redkat secures top 6 spot. Finals football locked in.
Not last. All that matters.
Superb stuff, cheers Clovis.
Boy I was wrong about tomorrow’s opposition, time to put ‘em in their place.
Not last also! But fuck that was close.
In the last three years, my results have been equal second (2021/22), equal fourth (last year) and fifth (this year). Not bad considering I often try to predict a smokie!
A bit wild I’ve managed to win given how unpredictable things have been. Close too though. The grandkids will hear about this. No zeroes as well, massive fluke.
I have no idea how to read that but congrats on a boring story for the grandkids dots!
Once again proving I know nothing about football.
I suspect that none of the professional pundits would have done better.
I am more than happy with that result…. I expect to find form in the finals series
You say that but I couldn’t help noticing that one of the place prizes (few hundred cash) in the official ALM tipping comp went to a Glen Lauder.
I didn’t bother with that one, did fantasy only.
