Itā€™ll be awesome to play in an Asian comp that were more competitive against. Not as good as ACL Elite but Iā€™m totally fine with the lesser comp. I donā€™t think the Mariners will cope in Elite

JK to me seems like a Brosque-type player. Not an out-and-out #9, more than capable in front of goal, works better alongside someone else or a bit deeper.

Just this week, both Sydney FC and Wellington Phoenix shattered their outgoing transfer records, with Jake Girdwood-Reich (20) heading to MLS expansion side St. Louis CITY, while Alex Paulsen (21) is Premier League-bound after a mooted Ā£2 million move to AFC Bournemouth.

Young Perth Glory products Daniel Bennie and James Overy have joined Queens Park Rangers and Manchester United, respectively, and Adelaide United starlet Nestory Irankunda begins his Bayern Munich career on July 1.

Those outgoings join the likes of Joe Gauci (Aston Villa), Marco Tilio (Celtic), Garang Kuol (Newcastle United), and Jordy Bos (KVC Westerlo), amongst others, in netting A-League clubs substantial transfer fees over the past 18 months.

A great read here

I donā€™t see how he shattered the record. 1.3m is the same amount we got for Adrian from that Chinese club.

It broke the record for an Australian player for us though.

Shattered the record for a player from our youth academy. I think the club was just a little lazy with the wording in the release

Brattan has already moved on.

Paul Dummett has been released after 23 years at Newcastle. If we canā€™t get an Australian CB (Sainsbury or Degenek) to partner Hayden Matthews heā€™d be a good shout.
Although he hasnā€™t played much over the last 2 years heā€™s still been in their first team squad rather than rotting in the reserves.

Maybe Joe Lolley needs to let him know how good it is to finish your career out here.

Newcastle bought him on their Australia trip but decided not to play him at all which was odd. Maybe he got a good look around.

Only 23 years? He doesnā€™t seem very loyal at all

Do we have a club policy that we must have a quota of players with hyphenated surnames?

Still remember first few times I saw him at trials then training in 16s at NT. Great to see him get a gig.

If I remember correctly he didnā€™t start keeping till 13/14?

Ndombele in an Australian summer would be fun

Can any NPL followers tell us a bit more about this keeper? On first glance, Iā€™m pretty underwhelmed, but maybe heā€™s a standout NPL keeper and I just donā€™t know it.
