I wonder if he shares our new ultra press play style thats working so well for us.

Another that has had overseas experience. He was Kisnorbo’s assistant at Melbourne CFG and Troyes.

I don’t get it. What has this got to do with The Simpsons?

Oscar Zawada’s just been released from Wellington.

Wouldn’t say no…

He’s a great A League level striker but the injury record worries me. I’d still probably take him at the right price.

Scarcella loaned out for the last year of his contract. I’m guessing that’s the end of that.

For the 57th and last time… he’s better than Priestman and we really could’ve used him up in Gosford when Hollman was out.

Figured he’d have had a better shot this season with our midfield churn, Brattan and JGR moving on etc. If Uffy still can’t find a use for him then I’m gonna assume we’re going hard and spunking 2 foreign spots on CM’s?

It’s a really good move. If the guy is good enough, he’ll get some starts for them. And if there’s enough to justify us keeping him, we can do that.

We should be doing more of this and not just releasing them, or loaning them to some random league.

I can’t picture him getting much game time for us, especially with Segecic coming back and Bosch possibly coming in. Sending him up the coast is probably a good move for his development.

Also weirdly the author for that article is listed as being ā€˜Melissa Baumjohann’, who I believe is one of Alex’s daughters. Maybe the club’s letting work experience kids run our socials/website, haha.
Genuinely though, I love our club’s track record of giving non-football opportunities to past players and their families. Really nice family/community vibe.

Has Jorritt Hendrix left the country yet?
I know he’s not going around with WSW again this season but I’d take him here if he’s keen to stay in Sydney.

Is Segicic definitely coming back?

Pictured in training photos today with an article.

The next generation of Dom Bossi’s to write pre-Derby hit pieces are coming from in-house.

So we’ve maybe got a starting midfield three of Caceres, Hollman and the rumoured foreigner. Given we need at least one of a starting #9 and LW, and a CB, I don’t think a fifth foreigner for CM is likely. Even if we back Sega to walk in and start on the wing, or for Maxi to play LW, we’re lacking for depth there other than shoehorning JCP in. Same with #9 where it’s pretty much just Wood?

Is anyone else ready to follow on the Zuvela → Devlin → Nieuwenhoff → Yazbek → Girdwood-Reich → Hollman lineage of ALM-ready central mids?

I assume that France and Lacey are more #10 than #6/#8? As was Scarcella? As are Max and Sega, ideally.

Presumably we’d be looking at Middleton? Kamijo if he ever recovers from injury (back problems?)? Anyone else?

We definitely need depth in midfield, it would be the ideal situation to introduce an academy graduate or two - assuming they’re more Adamson than de Jesus. But it looks like the kids we’ve got contracted, and the kids that are playing NPL, are very young.

Lacey, Middleton and Kamijo would be it at CM, but as you hinted there’s an Adamson sized gap (ready now) that Scarcella is perfect for imo.

Scarcella is more of an 8 or dual 6, rarely seen him play as a 10 or more advanced like Max, Sega, Quintal and France. So I can’t believe that Sega’s return has anything to do with Matty moving up the F3, it has to be down to Stanton being ready to give him minutes that Uffy won’t (like Taylor and Fryer also).

Scarcella going could just be a sign that management has a plan?

Bosch and Hollman.
