He oversees everything at SD Raiders these days and actually seems to do a great job getting players from Raiders into A-League academies. Very good bloke by all accounts.
But yes - the days of trying to get media cut through with interesting announcement locations are very much a thing of the past - they almost have a retro feel to them now

He wanted to be like a āsharkā scoring goals for Sydney is the line I remember from his announcement. Shame it didnāt work out well.

He was more of a Grey Nurse, rather than a more fearsome Great White, Bull or Tiger shark. Looks more threatening than he really was.

Ive tried to block alot of this out but didnt Farina play him out of positionā¦ he was a joy to watch when he was fit and on his game.

For some reason I donāt remember I happened to be at a Jets game when he was playing for them & he went through the almost the entire team to score himself. It was one of the best goals Iāve ever seen. Iāll see if I can find it.

Wow how does that not feature in more best goals of all time compilations? Has a similar vibe to the Giroud to Wilshere (?) back and forth Arsenal goals against Norwich (?) thatās seen as one of the best of all time in the EPL.
Also - fark that stadium is emptier than I ever remember it being too.
