Must admit I cheated and used Rowdy’s player list.

I would argue that the Miloses are well and above for greatest individual seasons. Milos had, at the very least, 2 top quality seasons.
Plus the admin one, it actually sounded like there were bigger admin issues from the Adrian leaving, than Milos. I still stand by the fact that Milos leaving wasn’t admin incompetence, it was 100% him failing to get citizenship on time, despite what would have been multiple suggestions.
What everyone forgets about M1los is how, after that stellar season, he was reduced to a bench role behind Brillante and O’Neill and didn’t throw the toys out of the pram.
Wood joins Glory on loan for the rest of the season
Does he need a lift from the airport?
Hopefully he starts the rest of the season. At an age where he needs that.
If Taggart plays as the 9 and Wood does the pressing then they’re getting plenty of goals.
Could see him doing well in partnership with Taggart.
Does leave us a bit light if Klimala goes down - I’m not sure whether Kucharski cuts it as an outright #9, his best moments seem to be playing off someone. Presumably we also go with Lolley as plan b/c after the success of the other week? It would solve the Costa question.
Another possible consideration is the rumoured Matthews transfer. If we hypothetically sold him with a loan to the end of the season, his cap cost would go from probably-minimum-wage up to at least 50% of his overseas salary (unless we contribute more). Loaning Wood out for the rest of the season would free up a Homegrown Player Allowance slot (uncapped salary) to cover that?
Glad wood will get some extra time since he has been quite impressive of late.
I really hope with this space being freed up that it leads to us getting someone worth while.
Funny thing is, Wood has always struggled to look like an outright #9 himself. That’s his position, but in terms of traits, he does lack a few attributes that you’d associate with a #9 (heading, positioning in the box, “tap-ins” etc.). He runs hard and puts pressure on defenders when we don’t have possession, but he’s not as effective on the end of crosses, or quick passes to him in the box. I could see him doing well in a strike partnership where he plays a little deeper than the other striker.
Sotirio.
Where do I cancel my membership?
A very whelming signing.
Would have preferred to just keep Wood. This is a Talay special, obviously sees something in Jauaushua that he liked when coaching Wellington.
As long as we barely see him play like Wood I’m fine with it (Talay will play him a lot no doubt, probably in front of JK too).
That said, as much as his face is very punchable, from what I’ve seen of him he is a better player than Wood pretty much all round.
Can Jauauauauaushua change his name to Adrian or Milos?
Would have much preferred we kept big red to be third choice over this
I’m back on #TalayOut
I’ll be very annoyed if he gets more minutes than JK.
Socials are going to go mental with “Why are we signing another attacker when we need defenders!!!”
Hopefully people are logical enough to realise this is the Wood replacement (given announcement timing), when we let Popovic go hopefully we will at that time announce his replacement.
We are letting Popovic go and signing a replacement…right?
Fuck not even 2 hours after I wrote this.
Get absolutely fucked!
