You got to admit, it will be funny watching some Westie fans lost their shit over it.

I think its a mistake to have both the men & women doing Unite round at the same time.
It’s shit that it’s split over 2 venues, but there are too many fixtures to be played at a single venue. And so the women get shunted off to a suburban venue because they get lower crowds. But then as a fan you have to make a choice of one venue or the other.
If the men & women each had their own Unite rounds, there would surely be fans that would go to both.
Hold the women’s round on a men’s FIFA window when there are no mens games and fans are looking for a game to watch, it would generate a lot of interest. Hold it somewhere like Gosford & i think you’d get a lot of people coming up for a day or even the whole weekend.
I doubt the concept really works for the A-Leagues, anyway. At least it’ll be gone next year, or the year after.
Women’s games outside of Sydney FC struggle to get 2000 for home games, I think you might be overestimating the crowds a standalone event would draw.
A women’s Unite Round during a men’s FIFA weekend is a great idea.
Unless you could work in the Tillies angle, and hold it during a women’s home match, which then means you’re sacrificing any international players.
The kickoff time for the Perth game is bonkers.
My kids won’t even be home from school when it starts.

Pretty average looking crowd for first game unsurprisingly.
At least they’ve got all three bays of the Cove setup for safe standing.
That was actually a pretty good team goal for Perth
Perth making a strong case for relegation.
Rip a flare lads, no one will notice.
Perth should have to qualify for the Australia cup through the WA state cup next season.
Young CBs and red cards at SFS eh?
Anyone think zdrilla is going to do a runner and stay in Sydney like an Iraqi footballer looking for asylum?
Bugger that. The way they’re performing they should have to qualify for the league next season.
Absolutely.
Imagine telling professional sportspeople that they have to act like professional sportspeople and having them throw it back in your face and actively try to get you sacked.
They may as well sign Kerem Bulut and get on (with) it.
