ALW Squad Speculation 23/24

Should have been capped for the Matildas before she was shipped overseas.

But that would mean a selection change!

Does the survey allow for those?

Hana Lowry plucked from Perth. Helluva midfield right now.

Our starting midfield could well be Hawkesby, Dos Santos and Lowry for next season. That’s a hell of a mid three to have at ALW level.

Maddie Caspers, Indi Dos Santos, Tahlia Franco, Shay Hollman and Amber Luchtmeijer.

ALW starts on Nov 1st 2024. (According to ‘AusStadiums’ site. and this APL announces start dates for season 2024/25 | Football Australia )

Why does Macarthur seem to think that she’s playing for them?

Maddie Caspers and Briana Woodall join the First Grade Women’s team after playing in the 2023/24 Liberty A-League Women’s season. Maddie Caspers, joining from Sydney FC, was also part of the U20 Young Matildas Asian Cup squad alongside Gemma Ferris.

I thought she signed with us for another couple of years:

Plenty of ALW players play in the NPL in the off season, and SFC dont yet have an NPL team?

Ah that makes sense. “First Grade” meaning NPL First Grade, of course.

I can see Dos Santos going overseas before long, just quietly.

Glad to see her get a new club but still hurts

Taylor Ray has had the worst luck with injuries. I wish her well but I don’t think she would start regularly in this midfield this season even if she was fully fit all season.

She’d do better if she changed her name to Taylor Ray Gun.

She’d go straight into the Matildas starting lineup!
