The Australia Cup has really gone to shit.
Last year it was arguably the most important cup competition in world football, this season it has turned into some Mickey Mouse preseason cup that no one cares about.
My god this is fucking dire and embarrassing. I get it, its a young lineup, but us losing to an NPL team is absolutely humiliating regardless of the circumstances. It should never be acceptable.
No end product from either of our wingers, Amanatidis especially, he has shown no progression in his finishing from the generous minutes he was given last season to now. He needs to show some kind of improvement soon or on the scrapheap he goes.
Being bundled out of the main KO cup tournament in this country, to which we are the defending champions at this early stage to state league opposition is an absolute embarrassment.
Really have no idea what all the hype is with him to be fair. Shown very little.
I remember when Corica signed him, I just took him for the squaddie he’ll always be.
Had a good 5 minutes against Western United for his AL debut and then it’s been downhill ever since.
From what I’ve seen in this game Segacic & Kucharski have been no better.

It starts earlier than the league no? The cup would probably have been valuable competitive game time in the lead up at least.
