Itâs weird. They absolutely love the AFL, but theyâre also in love with the fact that they love the AFL. But then there are probably a lot of football people you could say that about too.

The AFL is constant here, you can barely look in any direction without some sort of story about it. Then you think you have avoided and they start talking about WAFL.
Then you think youâve avoided it and then all the reporters on the news are ex-players.

I joined a queue right on 10am behind 1500 people (I guess I shouldâve gone earlier than the start time), finally got in just now, clicked âselect seatsâ and got chucked straight into another queue behind 1000 people.
Did Kafka design this system?
I signed up with Visa, but never got the link, so gonna have to wait till public, and I suspect Iâll be limited with luck getting tickets!
It is an absolute shit show.
Have been to the front of the queue twice only to be kicked back into the queue. Now trying to get the actual tickets and it still doesnât work.

Managed to get there in the end. Insanely frustrating to select seats and have them reported as âunavailableâ but the seat map doesnât even update afterwards. You just need to keep guessingâŚ
Still choosing seats, choosing the category of each individual one, and then being told the seats are no longer available
I delegated the effort to my parents. They seemed to make it work, but yes there were multiple queues to go through and they gave up trying to select seats and just went with the ones the system gave (which were good enough). Did take about 2 hours all up for them
How did you get system allocated tickets? The seat selection process was beyond farcical. That was the worst experience of my life.
We ended up with one of the packs after about 2 hrs of trying. Also ended up with extra qtr final tickets somehow.
I think Iâm gonna grab the Matildas group stage and Final when they offer single tickets, and then wait for the last minute discounts for the other random games.
With all due respect, Iâm very confident that theyâre not selling 80,000 Ă $100+ tickets for matches which could be Phillipines v Chinese Taipei. Fucking insanity.
