Thanks. They are expensive, that’s for sure. I think the main thing is travelling with some like-minded people, and having some support (people who can speak Spanish). Thanks for the tip for the facebook groups, definitely worth exploring.
I don’t think he is too concerned with the cost if it comes with the reassurance/confidence that he can travel with ease and not struggle to get around and communicate.
Package deal might be the way to go if that’s his primary concern. Although maybe some others can shed some light on any dodginess or anything to be aware of. I know that they pre-book more than just the game and travel as I saw the buses going all around in Russia to various sites and they rocked up at a pub we were in with a 100 odd person booking and the Aussie tv crews waiting.
Yeah. To be honest, if I were travelling with a group of mates we’d just do everything ourselves, but if I were travelling solo I’d prefer a group so I can see where he’s coming from.
Reading through one of the itineraries, it’s pretty comprehensive - lots of local sight seeing in between match days. Feeling very jealous already.
Great result, but that first half was as turgid as anything I’ve seen. Thailand really threw away the win in the first half when they should’ve put a few more past us.
Not to mention one of the few young Aussie players to wilfully and successfully run at defenders. If he carries on at this rate, I reckon he’ll be back overseas in a year or two at a decent club.
Whilst we all think we should be putting these nations away with relative ease, we haven’t lost a game. If you build a tournament around not losing, you’re in with a shout to go deep into the knockout rounds.
Over-rated big time and his defending in this mornings game was absolutely schoolboy-esque. I really don’t get how/why people think he’s even up to it at HAL level…squad player at best for me.
