If Victory die why should other clubs die , get on board and show up in numbers to games ,let’s show the media that we won’t abandon a sinking ship!

I don’t want to see MV or WSW die. I want their fans - all fans - to behave well (or at least not badly). We need a strong and MV and WSW for the A Leagues to survive and thrive.
Honestly. Worrying about swearing after yesterday’s effort. Serious Helen Lovejoy vibes.
None of the parents I know who’ve taken kids to the football have been the least bit worried about swearing. Quite the opposite at times to be honest.
Sex cauldron?!
My boy loves “football language” he knows that you hear it at football and that’s it. It’s a thrill
Watching a player get his face filled in by a metal bucket isn’t quiet so exciting
He should. He did this.
I dropped the C bomb the other week, got a visible reaction from the bloke in front of me who was sat next to his kid, he didn’t say anything though - could tell he wasn’t impressed.
In my defence, Brattan was being a useless cunt.
No. DT did not cause this.
DT caused the wider football community to become upset at the decision that was made without communication or including the wider football communities. These communities banded together to organize legal, peaceful, and non-violent protest methods.
Criminals and criminal elements which have been allowed to fester within the Melbourne Victory Football Clubs supporter group did this. Criminal elements who have no interest in supporting their football club, the A-League, or the wider Australian football community. These criminals only have their self-interest at heart. A self-interest that revolves around violence and being a degenerate to society as a whole. Degenerates who think that this sort of behavior which is condoned in less progressive societies and countries is an acceptable form of behavior here in Australia.
They are vile, angry, self-centered people who intimidate people because they think they are big. They think it’s cool. They don’t know decency, humility or respect. These people have no place in football in Australia. These people have no place within Australian society. They’ve been left unchecked for too long. The only place they belong is jail, and you’ll probably find that once they’re in H-division, they go from being intimidating tough thugs, to wimpering dogs in a matter of minutes.
I have been reading a fair bit of this rhetoric and am confused a little bit by the criminal elements and behaviour part. I don’t know the interworkings of Melbourne’s active support but are you suggesting that these guys are professional criminals from groups like outlaw motorcycle gangs or other organised crime syndicates? I have certainly been given this impression from the posts on this forum.
That’s got to be the dumbest possible take on this. In what world is it an acceptable reaction to physically assault an employee because you’re not happy with a decision by management? Does that mean all the assaults that happened when we did the plastic bag ban in Coles and Woolies are the fault on the government? Way to fucking shift blame
Yeah I’m a bit confused by that language too, I can understand that they are doing some things that are illegal, such as ripping flares and this instance of assault. I imagine the homophobic slurs earlier this season also fall into that. But to claim it’s a criminal organisation is a bit much. We’re not talking about Juve ultras with Mafia ties or anything like that.

I obviously don’t have the ability to look them up, but I would hazard a safe bet that the majority of the individuals that have caused this have criminal records of some description. I’m not talking minor indiscretions like speeding fines (which yes, don’t carry a criminal record) or public urination, but I daresay if they do have criminal records they’ve been charged with things like affray.
I’m not suggesting that they’re members of an OLMCG, or some form of organized criminal enterprise (I doubt they’re intelligent enough to do so), but they’re certainly using football as a guise and active support as a method to perform violent criminal acts, and get away with it. Essentially they’re using groups like the NT and OSM like a gang.
I see where he’s coming from. The criminal elements come from the fact that they’re waiting and stalking opposing fans in order to assault them. They’re pre-meditating this and using their organisation to do so. How is that any different from any of the other gangs and criminals walking around beating people up?
The APL really need to get their shit together here as well. They need to jump onto every single breakfast radio show, every breakfast news show and newspaper articles and start giving out interviews. If they take control of the narrative and and push to show they are having a proper response to the violence, while at the same time ensuring to distance ourselves from these pricks, there’s still some sort of chance to salvage something from it.
Unfortunately, they won’t…

This is what I was starting to think the situation was.
I think active support somewhat lends its self to mob mentality. The chanting in unison, riding the high and low emotions, this stuff leads to hysteria. Couple this with guys who have violent tendencies and there’s a serious problem.
If there’s a whole bunch of bad dudes or violent thugs in the core of their active support, I can’t imagine it’s easy to tell or ask them to leave. There’s some pretty intimidating people in the world.
It’ll be interesting to see how the active bays in Victoria handle this.
Dickheads who don’t mind punching on when they are drunk and doing shit like this can also like football.
Pretending that they are a different species is ignoring the issue and plays to the narrative that they aren’t really fans but outsiders using football to get into fights.
If you cannot ask them to leave, you could, you know, leave yourself rather than standing shoulder to shoulder and condoning it
Interesting to mention that I was speaking with a long term employee of channel ten yesterday, a guy who doesn’t watch football at all but understands the importance of ratings. He was of the opinion that this was great for the channel. Very adamant that all news is good news. He explained to me the science/formula behind a public apology and the timing. As a station guy, he couldn’t be convinced that the sky was falling. I hope he was right.
I also don’t but any excuses from the OSM. They weren’t leaving, if the active section was emptying but a bunch of people rushed the field it would make sense.
I saw 10 blokes from WSW stomp the heads of of two SFC fans at homebush a few years back in the concourse. Sickening. Two police officers saw the attack and let the guys walk away and held the two SFC fans for questioning. I pleaded for the cops to follow the guys who were attacking. Those guys were scary as hell. The two cops were scared of them too. There are some bad dudes out there that act like they are a different species.
