Canada is investing $1.3 billion to bolster security at the border and strengthen the immigration system, all while keeping Canadians safe. This includes $667.5M for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, $355.4M for the Canada Border Services Agency, $180M over 6 years for the Communications Security Establishment, $77.7M for Health Canada, and $20M over five years for Public Safety Canada.
I happen to come across this subreddit recently because I … anyways, I’m not advocating the economic system in this reddit, but I think this is an interesting theory on what the tech nerds are doing in the US atm.
The idea that they’re trying to play computer games with a real life nation and play with economic systems kinda fits.
Trump is basically annexing Gaza and saying Palestinians have no choice but to leave. I look forward to Albo and Wong defending the actions of glorious ally.
Can’t say i’ve spent too much time on the subreddit, mostly because reddit fucking sucks. But i’d assume it’s mostly US users. The hosts all have their own youtube channels which range from socialism 101 from the american to some more ML theory heavy content from the Yugoslav and Iraqi.
Subreddit mostly seems like young US people waking up to the fact that the dems will never serve the interests of the working class and both the republicans and dems only exist to represent the interests of capital, dems with a few rainbow flags and tokenistic gestures to give a veneer of progressivism.
I dunno. Most of the rule book seems to be getting torched.
The pattern I’m noticing is that Trump is the distraction. He says the unhinged shit that everyone trips on. Now we’re all paying attention to Trump and how utterly ridiculous he is.
This, plus his extreme unhinged stuff sounds ridiculous and then when he winds it back to mass departing “only” $1m people it’s questioned less because it’s not as extreme as his first assertion.
I just saw the post about dismantling the Department of Education and didnt read through the post under it, which shared a link to a youtube video from 2 months ago. Interesting watch, given the video was posted 2 months ago.
