Wonder if we’ve had a hand in bringing the Sanfrecce game forward a day… we have the opening derby @ Substandard on Sat 19/10 then Auckland away on Sun 27/10. That’s going to be quite a trip back for the boys, potentially Shinkansen back to Tokyo and then direct to Auckland, so wouldn’t be surprised if we’ve asked to play Wed 23rd instead.

Hope this doesn’t mess your plans too much @Mr2046 , Sanfrecce FB states it has changed to 23rd. Might well suit both teams with our travel back to Auckland and their potential Emperor’s Cup game (according to comments under the post).
It will probably mess me up by about $600 but that’s life, still going to be the best week ever.

Finally managed to navigate the JFA registration process so have tix for the Saitama game. 
If anyone else has problems just post here or shoot a PM and should be able to assist.
Hints (thanks to reddit) are to use the example phone number (045-000-0000), the address of your hotel, and ChatGPT to convert your name into both kanji and furigana. It also needed to be done on a laptop as translating the pages on my phone warped some of the fields rendering it impossible to enter DOB etc
So how many are actually travelling? Seems like it might not be many at all…?
Myself and one other are booked in. Yet to hear back from the club about match tickets.

Me and mate also in. We’ll be doing 3 nights max. in Hiroshima… potentially getting in late first night if we manage a day trip hopping off / back on the Shinkansen at Himeji en route (unfinished business for me, castle was under reno in 2011 so the main keep looked like a fucken Bunnings warehouse).
One day out to Miyajima for the floating torii and Mt Misen. Stadium looks close to city centre so on game day we’ll be doing Peace Park, dome and Hiroshima Castle pre-pub. Hauling all the way back to Tokyo for a large final weekend with another mate who lives in Chiba.

Nice! I’ve been looking at Sam’s Cafe 13 for pre-match – might phone them this week. Otherwise, there’s a nice looking park and communal area outside the stadium where I imagine it’s ok to eat and drink.
Must remember to stay out of this thread now that attending isn’t going to happen

I’m planning on attending, I’ve emailed the club about tickets but am waiting for a response.
Hopefully it all falls into place.
I’ll be there. And then hauling ass to Auckland away that weekend too.

Extreme dedication! Good probability you’ll end up on the same flight as the team too.
I’m thinking of doing Auckland as well. No sign of an away bay at Mt Smart yet though. Is there likely to be one?
