They gotta pay for the re-laying of the turf somehow.
Meanwhile, Macarthur FC have defended their ticket prices for the clubâs 1-0 win over the Central Coast Mariners at Panthers Stadium on Sunday.
Mariners fans had complained about the cost of tickets with one junior ticket reportedly costing $36 for an on-day purchase. A pre-bought family ticket cost $70, but was an extra $29 to be situated in the Central Coast bay.
Rejecting accusations of price gouging, Bulls CEO Sam Krslovic told AAP: "We had issues with Ticketek all week but if you had bought up to midnight the day before the game the tickets would be $25 each for general admission, $19 of which is received by us.
"If Central Coast fans had been proactive enough and had gone through the Mariners, they would have got a 10 per cent discount on top of that.
âThe reason for the higher prices in the Marinersâ allocated away bay is due to security required for the configuration of Panthers Stadium and Iâd like to thank Penrith for being so accommodating to us.â
The table-topping Bulls face a pitch inspection on Tuesday to confirm if their Sunday December 19 clash with the Newcastle Jets will go ahead at Campbelltown Stadium.

Here we go again⊠blaming fans. That management team never learns.
I had hoped MacArthur would turn out to be a success story. Less than 2 season in, and they seem to be lurching from one disaster to another.
I donât remember paying $35 a pop when we had the FFA Cup derby out there.
Instead of holding their hand up and acknowledging they were just as at fault with their stadium debacle on the eve of their season (yes, Campbelltown Council holds a lot of the blame, but who would only go check the condition of the stadium when they rock up for a familiarisation session 2 days before kickoffâŠ), theyâre blaming Mariners supporters for not buying tickets early enough, and then a weak arse excuse about security prices (which jumped the day before kickoff?)
Even South Melbourne arenât as embarrassing as this rabble.
Thatâs right - only needed to say that there were increased costs due to playing at a different stadium - which they should have absorbed because it is their fault fans are in the situation anyway. Hard to imagine how people who run these clubs are do disconnected from what the fans see⊠but there you go, they very obviously are.
When CCM fans on here had posted ticket details were severely lacking only days before the game.
Seeing a lot of Gold Coast United in the way their handling affairs at Macarthur. Maybe not with the lunacy that Clive Palmer handles situations, but a lot of 'Weâre not to blame, oh woe is me, oh no too expensive"
Wouldnât expect anything less from a couple of property developers, however.
Itâs pretty poor form from Macarthur. I completely agree that any costs shouldâve been absorbed by the club - theyâre already asking their fans to make the trip to a new ground FFS.
All 12 of their fans will be pumped.
They have 12 now?
Imagine thinking security is required for a mariners away bay.

Hatamoto was designed for Marvin the Mariner. The security is to protect the away fans from him.
Two comments about the security argument:
You were paying for th vibe though⊠I mean you FELT secure didnât you?
On a seperate note, I jumped in one of their Facebook posts, it really felt like all the comments had that âwe paid you to commentâ vibe. Not a single negative comment either surprisingly enoughâŠ
Wont get any argument from me mate. The idea is preposterous unless itâs a fan base whoâs proven they cant be trusted away from home. Even then whats the point if you dont have controls over buying outside that dedicated area. After seeing what Campbelltown looked like though I can believe theyâre stupid enough to not understand that.
Well, there they are top of the tree this week and last week.
I doubt they will be there after 26.
