Why assume they are wrong? I am not at all convinced yet that WSW offered him a big pay day or that he left for the money rather than the greater certainty of extending his playing career. Seeing a lot of what has come out of the SFC milieu vs Ninko as bad-faith rumour mongering at his expense.

Both clubs offered him one year deals, western suburbs gauranteed him 2 years employment after this season, SFC promised him a job for as long as he wants. If his westy deal is say 250k with his “loyalty” discount that’s a cap hit for us of 150k , he was made at least 2 offers from SFC so I find it impossible to believe the ws deal wasn’t substantially more.

Look, the number we put up came from a good friend of Ninko, former Sydney FC player(And teammate), has some links to West’s too. Direct quote when speaking on the subject: “if someone offered you 800k to play out West would you?”
SO that could be over 2 years, and would totally be closer to the (upper end) ball park for a 38 year old whose sugar hit effect for this league has already been used up.
