So to describe the goal, Nix countered but did it very slowly. They played out to the right full back who ran forward unmarked. He crossed and the ball was met. It dribbled and came in off our back post. King didn’t do enough o close the full back down and was sitting very narrow

Best part is that the only “debatable” first XI spots, Warland, King and Caceres, have all been excellent. Just the one underperformer again, but that’s getting really old as he degenerates from ordinary and ineffectual to outright fucking terrible. Bobo can’t get out of quarantine fast enough.

Watching how useless Barbarouses was that half, I can’t wait for Bobo to come back. Like, just staying up front and holding up the ball or winning headers would be more useful than anything Kosta does.
I don’t wanna go on about it, at this stage I’d take the most minimal improvement but it’s just not been forthcoming from him. Sure he’s better wide in a 4-3-3, but didn’t he also make a decent front 2 with Toivonen not that long ago?
If anything, until Bobo is ready to be our tap-in merchant, he needs to ride the shoulder of their last man and just get the fuck out of the way of everyone else.

Speed and Bosnich need a boxing ring, not a commentary box. They’re as bad as each other, and have horrific chemistry. I know Zelic is an absolute madman but I remember Speed and Zelic just fed off each other like nothing else. Anyway …
Some really good signs for us, but the equaliser sounds a bit concerning, as if we switched off. I’m not sure if Ninko and Caceres sitting so central is actually helping or not, but they’ve certainly got the ball a lot more in central positions than I expected.
