Round 20 - Sydney FC vs Brisbane - 10/3/24

Row Z is keen to get his step count up today

Re: JGRs yellows, This is the last round that 5 yellows would equal a one week suspension, up to 7 now isn’t it?

Also it’s toddler time!

Doesnt matter because this is our 20th game. 5 card limit only applies for 20 games.

This is what I came for

Good character shown so far while they’ve been on top. Add that to our first half clean sheets.

I’d like to see Kucharski on for Fabio. Fabio is just too passive. If you’re up front with 10 men you have to fight for every fucking ball and hold onto it. No faffing about.

Or Mak maybe?

I reckon the favourite going into it took that out. Head down, no nonsense. Did what she came here to do.

Pretty impressive discipline by our boys. Completely changed our style of play from a high press to a narrow compact block that Brisbane have shown no signs of getting through. They’ve looked more like scoring with we had eleven.

That was focus personified in the toddler race

I’d have Mak as more of a goal threat to be honest, and more able to hold the ball if he gets it.

Eh? That’s a red plain and simple. He’s late and throws the leg in there recklessly and nearly snaps his ankle.

Brattan in for Gomes.

Brosquey nailed the red at HT imo. Wasn’t even a foul for about 150 years, probably been a yellow for the last 20 or 30, but it’s a red in the ALM this season.

Still so much inconsistency though, really not much different to Farrell on Antonsson.

Genuinely astonished that this is the same JCP as the one that was so bad at the start of the season. Amazing what confidence can do for a player

I would have kept Max on and replaced Fabio straight after the red

Cop that

Holy shit. Huge chase and tackle from JCP to win that too

Mak is well and truly bak

I think we could look at bringing Lolley off too…
