I think we actually needed a new 9 and an import spot was always going to be needed there

Would have been happy with either Wood or JK up front and solidified the backline with a experienced CB.

We knew after last season our backline was trash. I think the dream that we were going to outscore ever team 5-4 has evaporated, especially as teams have learnt our predictable press and how to defeat it.

You rate Wood a lot higher than I do. He’s not good enough. IMO. No, we needed that new 9.
