Why would you want to go to North Sydney?

Actually that’s a fair point, I actually don’t know tbh. Anything to get away from the desk I guess

To watch the bears. Get sloshed at the commodore. Plus there are actually a couple of excellent restaurants there now.

North Sydney is getting better and better

So day 2, first proper test with all the TWaT’s on board, and commuter car parks along the line are all full in record time. Some as early as 6:45am.

Keeping alive the tradition of new infrastructure already being at capacity on opening, better get Transurban on the line to build us a few more Park n Rides.

Fun fact: I have never ridden on the Metro on either line*.

The fact that I live in South West Sydney and rarely venture out into the North Sydney/Bible Belt means that I am unlikely to do so any time soon. The only time I really cross the bridge is when I visit my mates place in St Leonards. However, I’m usually driving.

If it weren’t for Sydney FC, I’d probably have never caught one of those fancy trams that run through the City. When I lived in the Inner West I probably caught the Light Rail from Lillyfield to the City once or twice.

North Sydney is a dead zone after 6pm, It’s great that they can get away quickly now.

The Canberra of Sydney?

It really isn’t anymore
lots of new restaurants and bars

Firehouse, Rag and Famish, Green Moustache, Treehouse, Greenwood are all busy in the evening during the week.

The weekends however

I used to go to the Greenwood & the R&F back in the day. R&F seemed like some sort of I.T. worker pub apparently, not sure if that is still the case.

Berry St used to be pretty crowded Thursday - Saturdays too.

Glorietta goes alright in the warmer weather too.

We have the Terrace in our lobby which does the job for a quick one on the way out. Will probably get to the Rag more often now, can justify heading there en route to Vic Cross, we used to instead hit the Greenwood on the way to North Sydney station. I much prefer the Rag. :+1:

The Commodore is dead now.
I went to have lunch there a few weeks back and it’s been bulldozed.

Greenwood.

Oh boy
:grimacing:

Whaaaaat? I swear it was there the other day when I drove past

Not sure if this will always be the case but if today was an indication it looks like the regular train over the bridge is going to be a lot less crowded. The usually busy platform at Central was very empty and the train pretty much emptied when it hit Wynard.

Yeah, but why would anyone want to go to North Sydney?

That’s where I work

Mate, we live in Bathurst. Not sure we should be giving out advice on places people should go
