Any point’s a good point about now but no idea how that ended goalless. We bossed the first half but they definitely had the better of the second. Shame all our best chances fell to Kasawaya, he put in a shift but not the best finisher in the squad, one of those falls to JK, Quintal or even Brazete after replacing him and we probably take the lead.
JK was energetic but had one of those games where nothing quite came off. He got nudged off balance with his best attempted shots or through balls, on another day he probably makes the difference for us. Quintal is this season’s Taylor, joy to watch when he’s skinning blokes and adding to his nutmeg tally.

IF we do go down, besides the ones promoted/relegated, this is what next season opponents may look like.

Even though i’ve lived all over the place, from Finland to Bankstown in the 90’s to the great beyond the mountains, country towns of Cowra and Young, to Southern highlands, and last 10 years in Northern Beaches, the couple of years living in Raby/St.Andrews give me a soft spot.
We used to take the train from Minto to numerous SFC games in Moore Park, and pre-season games to various places. (Sometimes Bus services) All great memories. Let alone our AFC games at Cambelltown, followed by nights at Wests LC.
When i took a drive and visited last year it was… memorable.
I think there was a pre-season game at Lynwood Park one time. Was there. If you can, visit all over this area of ours.
Too many memories to bring up, i better stop.
I guess this is what it’s like when a club gets relegated and ‘has’ to go and play in these other places. Great memories.

Wtf? I just checked the score, we’re up 4-0 against APIA at HT.
It’s been full pressing. Also, APIA fielded 4 debutants due to them having injuries and suspensions. As well as playing a game every 3 days or so…
2 rounds to go after this. Still a good chance to not get relegated. I’m sure The Cove being there is helping a lot too.

We need at least 1 point out of those games and hope Sutherland don’t get any.

Rockdale next week will also be coming off the Waratah Cup Final against APIA, so let’s hope for something similar to this.
Hills, now last, also play APIA (3rd) and Blacktown(4th) in their last 2 games.
We’ve got Rockdale who will be looking to try cement the title and then Olympic at their Kogarah game that they have been advertising since the start of the season, I assume some event as well to go with it.

Melb Vic were in NPL3 in Vic, 2 years a go, got promoted to NPL2, and again this year to get to NPL1.
IF we were to get relegated, it’s not going to be the worst thing, but i know our boys will give it all they can to stay up.
Weren’t we the first A-League academy to be promoted into the NPL1?
At the very least the first NSW side to do so. We’ve escaped relegation by the skin of our noses on a few occasions now.

Not sure on NSW, but the Vic A-league sides haven’t been in their NPL1 for 9 years until now next season.
Also, we came 6th in '23, 7th in '22, 12th in '21, 5th in '20, 11th in '19.
The Newcastle Jets also won the NPL2 undefeated to get promoted to NPL1.
There’s plenty to enjoy next season IF we get relegated.
