Sure it is. Teams manage to figure out travel with 2 weeks notice during the qualification rounds and during the knockout rounds.

There’s just as much break in between match days of the league stage this season.

Villa beat Bayern Munich at home… Kompany working his magic…

Real get beaten by Lille 1-0 and Benfica smash Athletico 4-0

Liverpool with a routine 2-0 over bologna

As per usual we lift for the big teams by defeating Real Madrid. Odds on we’ll fuck it all up by losing to Cagliari this weekend.

Madrid losing is always great fun, but their players always find the way to click and be disciplined when it matters.

Thoughts on the league format so far? I still think the draw is likely to be a bit unbalanced and likely to favour the top clubs by the end of this stage, but there are definitely a few names that I did not expect to see in the top eight, like Monaco and Brest.

The only issue I have is that the playoff round is seeded which removes a lot of jeopardy for the big boys.

Depends how the group stage goes. There’s potential for some tasty clashes early.

They’re 11th in Ligue 1 so that is a surprise.

Mbappe had a penalty saved in the Liverpool game. Really poor return on that signing with 9 goals from 18 games. Considering the fact that Lewandowski, playing in the exact same league is sitting at 22 goals from 19 games for a fraction of the price and at 36 years of age… Still nailed on to be one of the top contenders for the ballon d’or

Madrid were poor across the board. Mbappe didn’t do anything other than miss the penalty, Bellingham was completely outclassed by Jones in midfield.

Modric is still glorious though

Have Red Star asked not to be called Red Star - and for people to use Crvena Zvezda?
