Did anyone see Spanian last week?
It’s funny because I would have taken him for a Westie supporter if I had to guess, but he is apparently a huge Sydney FC fan and has been for ages, never judge a book by its cover.
Even though this is his second channel the video looks like it’ll get about 100k views in the first day, massive.

Isn’t he a massive homophobe/transphobe? I seem to remember him posting a video on his main channel a few years ago that was pretty fucking horrible…
If it attracted clicks, Spanian was up for trying it. But nothing would attract as much attention (or controversy) as a video he posted to Instagram in February 2023, claiming the WorldPride movement was a cover for paedophilia. Spanian went on to reference non-binary pronouns, arguing that they are being forced upon children before stating he was speaking out because “everyone’s too f—ing scared to say something.“
Bizarrely, just a year before expressing these views, Spanian recorded a podcast, Homophobia Is Real In 2022 , denouncing those who discriminated against people because of their sexuality.
Perhaps the key to his about-face lies in an interview he gave to Vice in early 2023, in which he touched on his understanding of maintaining viral stardom.“The power of making people hate you, that’s very powerful on social media,” said Spanian. “Anything you do that’s negative always gets more attention than something you do that’s positive.”
Thought so. That’s disappointing, just as the Club is promoting their Pride membership stuff…
