Just speaking for myself, i had planned to do the US with my family in 2026 and do a couple of side trips to see any Socceroos games i could get tix for. I’ve pretty much scratched that idea now.
I’m seriously rethinking going. Might wait for Spain/Portugal/Morocco.

Good luck, if there’s one thing FIFA will put their foot down about hard, is government interference. If they ban a country that’s qualified, FIFA will ban them from participating and remove them from FIFA all together. I mean they tried to do it to Poland about 10-15 years ago, purely because the government had to step in and remove half the officials in the National team due to corruption

I mean there’s the money portion of it, but there’s also the fact that he’s a megalomaniac. He’s going to want to be known as the President that did the best, and greatest World Cup in the history of the universe.
I personally don’t see why any football fan or tourist would want to visit the U.S. in the current political climate, never mind the amount of gun crime that happens in the U.S.

I’m expecting they’ve saved a lot of money on venues as the Olympic shooting events can just be held in any school auditorium.
