A-League Round 13 Discussion

Not sure how Keogh missed that chance. Easier to score and completely missed the target.

Popovic is really cocky to bench that many players

LOL @ the Perth fans booing off their team at half-time. They really have forgotten what its like to be top of the table, haven’t they?

what the living fuck

This is fantastic

Cue Spotless getting burnt to the ground…

Perth gifted the game by the reff, I don’t understand how these soft penalties are still happening. One in Sydney’s game and now this, making a mockery of soccer.

I can’t wait for mack’s latest edition of the ESFC/FFA/establishment conspiracy.

I definitely saw the ref’s reptilian eyes blink

What happened and how is Vedran to blame?

There’s snatching defeat from the jaws of victory and then there’s THAT.

If it was anyone else I’d be mildly annoyed about Perth not dropping points, but with that lot shitting the bed in such fashion it was just funny. They’ve become specialists in failure and I hope it continues long after that stadium opens.

Special props to Brendan Hamill for the completely unnecessary grabbing of Keogh in the penalty area when he had his back to goal for the match-winning penalty. Real captain’s knock there.

Penalty was a bit soft but trust WSW supporters to lose their shit and start claiming the game was rigged. Morons.

Although can somebody explain why Perth’s first goal wasn’t ruled offside? To me it looked like Davidson was well offside but VAR let it stand.

They must’ve deemed Davidson didn’t interfere because Castro put it in the net. Possible foul on Suman before that though.

Another reason to despise the Wanderers

Couple that with Redmayne making a point blank stop to give us the three points and it was a decent day all round

Called it :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s up and it’s spectacular, though he chose to ride Hamill for the winner more so than blaming it on the universe.

I’ve only recently stumbled across his twitter feed as well, a quick flick through last nights mid-game keyboard thumping delivered plenty of lol’s on this mornings commute. His new “encroachment watch” started with demanding kick-off’s be re-taken (nothing like focusing on the big issues!), and ended with him posting a photo of Juande’s penalty… that one reaches zipperboy levels of self-parody, as he completely ignores the 4 or 5 WS players who are also inside the box as it’s taken.

Unsurprisingly they seem to be lapping up Babbel’s complaints about the officials which tap right into their little battler / underdog mentality. They really should be asking why there were no wise heads out there to keep calm and organise things at 3-1 or 3-2. They couldn’t keep the ball at all and sat so deep inviting Perth to pile on the pressure, not to mention the interesting tactic of choosing not to bother marking Castro.

Only halfway through the season and they’ve already lost as many games under Babbel as we have in the last 3 years.

I’ve only really found that Twitter recently too.
He seens to post a shitload during home games, so does he just not go to them and keyboard warrior the whole time at home? Sums them up perfectly if so.
