How have Melbourne fit all these players in the cap, it has to be dodgy.
Also not that I wish him an injury but that arsehole Antonis couldn’t play 2 games in a row for us. Then when he goes to both our main rivals he stays injury free throughout. In fact if he was as reliable for us in 14/15 we probably would have one easily.

Delps was in a shit team coached by a poor coach though so it is hard to gauge what could have been if we gave him a better supporting cast. Won Serie A the season before.
Whereas Honda’s career high point was a pretty disappointing spell in a Milan side a couple of rungs below Juve. Brownie points for anyone who can name anything else about Honda’s club career.
I’m quibbling here but Honda is on track for a GOAT season in this league. It just shouldnt be on FFA money.
Honda had a quality C.V and his performances have been top quality but I don’t feel that he has introduced more fans to the league, sold more jerseys or gotten anywhere near the amount of publicity. Honda has never been seen as one of the worlds best like Ale but this doesn’t mean he can’t do good stuff for the league.
I am not arguing about who has been the better player. Del Piero is so far in front it is not funny. And there are probably others who have played in the A league who have been better than Honda.
I am talking about just playing in the A league.
It is just a real shame that he is doing it for Victory.

Antonis has always been a gun when fully fit - was so with us, to an extent with WSW, and again with MV. Toivonen looks very good in terms of general play rather than as a goal scorer. Honda is different level. They’ll be tough to beat.
That’s their club culture, no surprise given it’s a club where Kevin Muscat is a saint.
Top 4 already looks cemented, it’s Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide and us. We’re the weakest of the 4 so far, and really need De Jong coming back strong and staying fit + a new signing.
