As for Wanderers they’re a complete mess. Did most of their recruiting super early for Gombau but then they sacked Gombau and Babbel didn’t have much space to move. Now they’re probably sack him soon enough. The whole management is woeful
Haven’t watched every game but expected Honda to be playing further forward. He’s been parked RM with Kosta in front of him a lot and is often just a cog, playing more easy sideways / backwards passes than Disco did. He’s got a long long way to go before being in the same ballpark as Ninko 16/17 or Adrian 17/18.
Lol at Elrich CB again. From the highlights I just saw looks like he was Toivonen’s bitch. Who’da seen that coming? Yeah, everyone but Babbel. Must be close to turning poisonous out there again, meanwhile the best manager they’ll ever have is top of the league. 
Western Suburbs are a basket case but I can’t decide if it’s any worse than what we were between 2011 to 2014. I mean we were losing 7-2, 4-0 to the Mariners, basically expected to lose any games vs Roar and Adelaide, outplayed and outsung at our home derbies, and losing to Melbourne 3-2 at home from 2-0 up. But never lost that many games vs the main rivals (we somehow kept drawing with Melbourne and starting beating Western Suburbs when we were still shyte), and didn’t start from such a high anyway so I think their decline is now worse.
What Western Suburbs have over us is their new stadium which is just months away from completion. I was hoping they carry a bad run of mediocre seasons into their new stadium, and here we are.

Stop, he’s been fantastic. He wins the ball deep amazingly easily and runs the team from there. Muscat has done well to not just stick him at 10 and hope for the best, where he’d probably start to get frustrated.
Honda is ridiculous at this level and Toivonen is an Adrian-level under the cap. They will be hard to stop this year.
It’s great seeing Western Suburbs being an absolute shitshow of a club. Disaster at every level this season, such a poor, poor squad. Be interesting to see what happens when they sell Riera in January (you know they will).

Was great for a season in Wellington then left and didn’t play consistently for his last year in Japan. Still clearly coming back.
I also seem to recall he wasn’t playing up front for Wellington, but was drifting in from wide more often. He’s definitely a number 9 here.
