15 days from now, yesterday or tomorrow?

We were one (now two) competitive games into our season, which was four days ago, and we’re already producing that.

A little match sharpness cost us at least a point but I’m pleased with what I watched

Yeah, this is way better than other performances against Japan sides. We were playing through their press and dominating possession…. Could’ve easily scored the first goal - just that final bit of class up front, but other days we draw or even won that game.

Other times we’ve been competitive and lost has been against weaker opposition

I wanted to see us against Hiroshima before getting too excited for the A-League season - but now that I’ve seen it, the rest of the A-League is fucked…

Yes.

That was the best team in the best league in Asia right now.

And also Hiroshima.

The ball speed through the middle of the park was outstanding, especially in the first half. Credit to Leo for consistently beating a man and creating the space for the mid field to work.

Its a shame we didnt have the end product but I think it will come with time as the group plays together more.

Great work from Caceres, Maxy and Sega to all link up and get the goal.

Fuck me dead. We are good.

Unfortunate result but we’ve played 2 games so far, plenty of time to improve.

Were Kaya and Eastern FC pre-season friendlies?

We weren’t outclassed or appeared to be hanging on for a second of that game, don’t think I’ve ever seen that from an A League team against a quality Japanese team. They usually run rings around A League opposition and look by far the better team.

This season is gonna be fun

Felt like it

2 games in 20 years?

Are we Kazuyoshi Miura United?

Yes. Including Aus Cup

My brain wanted to say one league game but my fingers said otherwise.

Two games against decent opposition with this squad.

No, not funny

I know it’s early on but it looks like we’ve nailed our overseas signings.
Every single one of them is buying in to how Uffy wants to play, are fit, playing big minutes and none of them look to be a prima donna.

Who would’ve thought we’d see JCP running off Douglas Costa’s inside shoulder?

That’s unfair!

You’re up near Lismore, aren’t you?

No stigma up this way.
