We’ve looked fairly impressive but to be honest, Eastern stood off for at least 30 minutes of that half. I don’t think we can take all that much from the game, other than the fact we have a comfortable lead.
Sensational first half, but without being overly cocky, exactly the sort of performance we should be putting in home or away against a team from Hong Kong.
Look, I may have a soft spot for Sun Hei (who currently play on the HK 3rd division - yes, HK has a third division) after I played 10 years with them on FM and turned HK football into a superpower in Asian football, but I digress…but this is what we should be doing against nations like this and not be batting an eyelid.
Team has been excellent. Anas, whilst the butt of all jokes has been fantastic, as has everone really. Can’t really fault anyone this half.
Hope that Spanish player for Eastern is OK. Taken off on a stretcher in a neck brace is never good. Probably precautionary, but with any neck/spinal issues you can’t be too careful.
Whilst football is a contact sport, and I have no issues with a bit of physicality - Matthews os making some rather worrying challenges and decisions of late. There was nothing malicious about that challenge, but he did arrive late. In an A-League game that would have been VAR’d, and probably upgraded. Just needs to calm down a little bit.
Another 3 goals in the second half would do nicely.
Sounds like the team had a bid of dodgy airline food en-route as Simon Hill was saying a few players have come down with Gastro.
Hopefully Special K is good to come on and do filthy things to the Eastern defence, other than soiling his Reg Grundies.
