This snuck up quickly. A much more reasonable 9pm kick off this time around.
The K-League has only just started. Jeonbuk have one win, one draw and one loss so I don’t know what to make of that form. One thing to our advantage is that they have a league game on the weekend between these two legs and we don’t. So I suspect they’ll want to try to finish this tie off this week where it is probably to our advantage to keep it close now and try to finish it off next week.
Good points in the OP, I think if we can hang in there we’ll be a chance, and maybe we will be fitter than them being in the peak of our season and playing in humidity the past few months.
But at the same time we are usually outclassed by Korean and Japanese teams and they will punish every one of our dumb mistakes.
Probably a 3-1 loss, which still gives us a chance next leg.
I don’t know why but I am confident heading into this…. There were enough positives against the bulls to think we have some sort of solidity at the back and I am confident that we have enough at the other end of the field to cause anyone problems - especially if Costa is in the mood to put on a show
