ACL2 - R16 2nd Leg - Bangkok United v Sydney Fc 19/2/2025

Oh the insanity, Asian games are all batshit crazy.

We were dire and out on our feet. Douggie looked like his groin was troubling him coming off.
No buisness winning that.

Never in doubt.

I also really appreciate that Tittyfun’s attempt time wasting at 2-1 up cost his team the game.

We defended really well the last 5 mins or so. The youngsters that came on did fantastic

Jeonbuk aren’t looking that great compared to their previous years as well but we’ll still get chopped easy if they don’t figure out what to do with the backline/midfield.

That feels like a bunch of our most recent wins where the overall feeling is more annoyance than joy.

K1 season only started last week. I assume they had some turnover during the offseason given last year’s finish.

FMD, Liverpool game in like 4 hours, why do I do this to myself?

First?

Just seen they appointed Gus Poyet lol

Barclays memories.

Just seen the highlights.

Fuck that was jammy.

Harrison Sevenish-Beers may just be the worst goalkeeper we’ve ever had.

Uffie must be worshipping the ground Segga walks on at the moment, it feels like he’s singlehandedly keeping him in a job. :joy:

Great they got through but my god they were lucky. Really feels like they’ll go no further unless shit changes and changes ASAP……

I had no idea the second leg was on last night. Happy with the result but glad I didn’t put myself through it. Any ideas who we could face next leg?

Losing Seg on a free at the end of the season is going to be some bad management for us.

Im not sure how the draw works, if there’s a ā€œtreeā€ so to speak or if it’s just a random draw.

Sanfreece, Sharjah (UAE), Tractor (Iran), Al Ahli (UAE) are currently through with three more games still to come.

I’ll lose my absolute mind if we lose him on a free. Triply so if its to another A-League club.

Eid’s goal might be the most embarrassing sequence of Sydney FC play ever.

Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors beat Thai Port 4-0 in the first leg. Pretty safe to say it will be Sydney vs Jeonbuk.
