A 2-0 deficit to overturn. Thankfully we had some rotation and now we’re the ones who don’t have to travel mid week, but it’s still a pretty tall order.
Lion City had a 0-0 draw on the weekend. No Ramselaar in their squad so I suspect he was just fully rested but I’m not sure.
I don’t care if we’re mathematically still in the ALM finals, if we lose this I think Ufuk needs to go. Assuming he doesn’t have some outrageous termination fee, he’s won us nothing and we owe him nothing if he hasn’t at least taken this squad to a big dance.
Last game was a stinker but I’m just about okay with putting enough of the performance issues down to the synthetic pitch and conditions. Just.
I have confidence that we won’t be taken by surprise by their squad - I am under the impression that we underestimated them during the first leg.
Need Sega to start to sledgehammer the low block down with a long range rocket or two.
I remember seeing someone refer to this crop of SFC as stupid entertainers. I think if there’s anything this team are capable of doing it’s piling on goals - hopefully we can get a good start or at least a sustained period of momentum where we can score our way out of this one.
My hope is that this is like the Sanfrecce tie against Lion City.
At home Hiroshima destroyed them but could only muster a 1-1 draw in Singapore, so I’m confident that we win 4-1 at home
We could be 31-0 up in the 92nd minute with 60 seconds left on the clock and I would still be expecting Sevenish-Beers and Joel WanderKing to make several ghastly mistakes and have us go down 32-31.
