It would be better if they didn’t make it, and so brought less money and exposure to the Victorian game, and just left it to fester in that shitty corner of the country.

I was very keen for an all-Sydney decider because it really would have been Armageddon down here, but Sydney:Bris would be almost as good

I don’t think Sydney-Brisbane GF would annoy Victorians too much, as both sides have a sizeable victorian fan base, given the history of both clubs.
I’d prefer if we ever got GWS v Suns. 2 manufactured teams no one gives a shit about.
Do they still do GF replays for a tie? Imagine a low quality, low scoring GWS v Suns GF ends in a tie, then everyone has to trudge back a week later to do it all over again

Not really. 40,000 tickets go to competing club members, and the rest the AFL give to other clubs, MCC members and corporate.
Best way to get tickets is to know a member or stand outside MCG begging.
I went to both 2012 and 2014 grand final. 2014 was through a membership and 2012 was asking around outside ground on matchday.
