‘Nux have less than Auckland did but do seem to have the city boys covered in this week’s edition of NZ vs City

I don’t get why City don’t have more supporters.

They’re not the other mob, have a good mix of young and well known players and they’ve had success.
Pretty embarrassing for them that Western United will be pulling bigger crowds very shortly.

I really wonder how long CFG will stay invested here. What could they be gaining from this? A tax write off?

Heart had no identity or supporters and they just got more plastic. what is there to draw people in other than not being victory?

I do. It’s a soulless arm of CFG. The club didn’t have an identity to begin with, either, as higdawg has pointed out.

Good call also from dots about CFG maybe not staying. Man City aren’t making nearly enough from transfers to be the obvious FFP write-off machine that it intended to be when they had guys like Mooy and Arzani go over to Man City straight from Melb City.

If I remember correctly, wasn’t the aim of Melbourne Heart to attract old NSL fans who didn’t jump on victory?

Solid plan…

The few million it costs to run Melbourne City would be a pittance for CFG.

But its not designed to just cost them a few million a year. They’ve clearly designed it to be a sporting advantage for the main club, Manchester City, who would’ve wanted the kind of transfers Aaron Mooy pulled every few years rather than what they’ve had over the last decade. Jordan Bos didn’t even go to Man City before going to Westerlo, so presumably Man City did not get any FFP benefit at all.

I’m sure there are still licensing fees being paid from Melby to Manchester to assist in the creative accounting department.

The only plan was - stick it in Melbourne, the sporting capital of the world.

City’s last two crowds are 5482, 5060.

They’ll probably be the third most popular team in Melbourne within a season or three.

The absolute state of tonights slate of games that it falls on the late perth game to redeem the evening.

Western United’s crowd last week at their small training facility (with no infrastructure or housing around it) was 4,187.

Could be a similar story with Macarthur becoming the second biggest team in Sydney by overtaking the Wanderers over the next few years.

Probably the goal of the season to sink Perth who have conceded twice in stoppage time.

Goalscorer gets sent off for second yellow for the celebration.

Perth and Brisbane are so incredibly shit, have to feel for the fans that turned up.

Results haven’t really gone our way this weekend, we lose against Newcastle and we’ll be 5 points outside of the top 6.

Best league in the world!

That’s an all time collapse there. 91st equaliser and 95th winner, and what a winner. As good or better bicycle than Piols against us

You’d feel sorry for Perth…. if not for the wankers in Kiss fancy dress.

Coupla brilliant finishes there from wsw

We’ve stopped giving out cards for simulation it seems.
