ALM - Round 22 Discussion - 2023/24

3 for most teams around us, 4 for us. Not many.

And one of them is the derby

Wests can finish above us, it doesn’t really matter. We’d need both Wests and Melbourne City to overtake us to miss out on finals.

We ‘should’ get the job done but City also have 4 games on hand. Though 4 points behind us.

If anything, exciting month ahead.

I think we have 5 games left, as we have our catch up for rd12 against Perth on Wednesday, then we have Newy, Stigma, Bulls and Perth again.

Shit you’re right, I thought there were 26 games this season not 27? Must have got that mixed up with last few years. They are all very winnable games, if we can’t make finals with that run in we simply don’t deserve to be there.

Such an easy answer!

It was originally planned as 26 rounds, but then they squeezed in the GF apology (a.k.a unite) round to make 27

They can still issue red cards even though the whistle has gone

Trash was spot on though, Hendrix alone must’ve committed 4 glaring professional fouls, only Alireza could possibly have kept him out of the notebook.

We were the better team against Macarthur last time despite playing with ten for most of the game. We’ve got to play them again in a few weeks.

City really seem to be preparing for life without Maclaren.

Draw best result? Keeps CCM within reach but also keeps Melbourne City away. If City win though it could help knock Wests out of the 6 by the end of the season so that’d be a silver lining.

Pretty funny. CCM have been quite bad tonight as well.

CCM vs Wellington on the weekend will be massive.

Lovely feet from Balard.

I’ve thought it all season but Jakolis must be the worst use of a foreign spot by CFG in years. Iirc he’s got dual nationality, absolutely avin a larf if he thinks he’s getting anywhere near the NT.

Is that Balards first goal too?

They said it was. Real shades of Stevie G’s first goal for the senior team just quietly
