I don’t like to criticise referees but he’s coming across as being overcoached and as a result unsure on whether he’s making the correct decision.
The yellow card for simulation 9 minutes in when there was clearly contact.
A couple of negative VAR calls.
He isn’t looking like someone confident with calling his own game.

Parra lot with a lot of home games up the front end of the season. Odd on there being more of them at the away derby than any single home game? (To be fair, plenty of Sydney fans also prioritise away derbies over non-derby home games)

I don’t think that’s for all games.
They could play in the middle of St Kilda Road, and they still wouldn’t pull a crowd.
But this oval sucks and they don’t get anyone. They’re better off half or mostly filling the 5,000 seater with a rectangular crowd.
