Anas Ouahim confirmed
Its definitely an interesting signing. Played most of his games as a 10 but some games a right winger or CM
1 Bundesliga game, 1 Europa League game, 28 games in Eredivisie, 41 in 2. Bundesliga, 49 in 3.Bundesliga.
His stats last season arent much. 18 games for 2 goals 1 assist in the Eredivise then once he moved to Moldova 7 games 1 assist, averaging about 49 mins a game.
Seems like recent career hasn’t worked out but there was a talented player there that maybe needs this new environment to get back. 2 year deals says Talays got some faith in this working out.

Talay has had some ripper signings when at Wellington. He can spot a decent foreign player for this league, with with AB beside him, I daresay he’d have had a say in his signing too.
Also fun fact: He becomes the second Moroccan player to play after Hamza Sakhi in 24/24 for Melbourne City.
Talays comments last week were that we wanted to sign a 10, 9, DM and CB so I’m guessing we’ll be
Redders
Grant NEW CB Mathew King
Caceres NEW DM
Segecic Ouahim Lolley
NEW 9
But imagine we might see a bit of Caceres 8 Segecic RW and Hollman DM Caceres RW
Seems more likely to be the Mak replacement than the Brattan replacement.
Transfermarkt has him as CM/AM/LW.
Also…
Seems a similar level to Zawada, which was an astute pick by Talay at the Nux. Very good age too. Cautiously optimistic
He looks someone who would fit into a high pressing team like a glove.
HOW GOOD ARE SIGNINGS
And email from club says “attacking midfielder”.
Might have to ease him into it slowly, though.
Not sure how long that video covers but shows some nice attributes. Carries the ball well, has good close control, some nice finishing, lovely through balls, and presses well up field. Seems to be content to play a physical game too.
26 is a great age, particularly with recent experience at a good level fairly equivalent to our league, slightly better than that at times. Cautiously optimistic about this one.
I think I’m going to really enjoy watching him play. Some nice footwork, and some killer passes too.
Looks like some good decisions too, there’s times there where plenty of players would go themselves but he’s regularly taking the better option to lay it off. Also cautiously optimistic.
Battle and rotation between him, Caceres, and Burgess for the starting #10 spot will be interesting and useful. Presuming we’re still after a foreign #6, we’ll soon look much more comfortable playing in multiple competitions.
I’d be hesitant to say he’s got good decision making skills based of a highlights video that isn’t going to show times he took the wrong decision
That all said seems like a decent enough signing. The pace and physicality should be good attributes here
