Also need to point out that at least part of his stint in Holland was in the second tier, which absolutely looks like a step down from the ALM. Nonetheless, his skill set seems to at least fit with what Talay is looking for. Whether his quality is enough for the ALM, we will see. My guess is he’ll be just fine, though.
Segecic just spent a year on loan in their second tier, nobody would say it’s a step down for him. Mariners got their last couple of stars from places like Malta… I don’t think division is the be-all, end-all of determining talent.
That’s rubbish he’s absolutely the type of resume the league signs but he’s 26 which is younger than many. Not too far off Berishas resume before joining
Yeah there’s risk with every signing and he can still flop but his resume and age is totally within what the league signs. Someone said it’s similar to Zawada
At the same time we’ve had players like Sergi Guardiola play La Liga after flopping here or players with nothing resumes end up being greats so much goes into whether a signing works our not
Sincerely hope not. He is absolutely at his best in that freer advanced role as per last season. He’s not an 8, a 6, or a winger. At least not where we get the most out of him.
