Tiago Quintal has been selected in the U20 squad for the Asian Cup.
He’ll be gone from 3 Feb until, potentially, 1 March.

Gus Hoefsloot is also in the squad.

Just gonna post this here:

In 18 months the lad went from U20’s to NPL to ALM to NT, never looked out of his depth making any of those steps up. Incredible stuff, sad to see him leaving us still so early in his journey, but of course we can’t be turning that sort of money down and it demonstrates Portsmouth rate him and see him in their future plans. Go well Haydos, I’ll be keeping tabs. :smiling_face_with_tear:

Might have to pop down the road on Wednesday night and suss out who’s next on the conveyor belt.

It’s a big loss for us but damn I’m happy for him. It was clear he was better than this level and I hope he spins this into a great career.

I just hope he isn’t the next Antonis or Teague, turning out for one of our hated rivals in a couple of years time!

That’s something they really need to improve in the league IMO.

A player who has graduated from the academy into seniors and earned a move overseas should be able to come back to their junior club as a “Loyalty player” with the cap discount from day one.
