Asian Champions league 22/23

It is, but the situation is such that the game probably needs to be played. I would feel quite bad for Kaya FC and their players/staff, I assume they are footing big bills to even turn up. Delaying the game could throw off their plans and create extra costs.

God we get some boring ACL sponsors.

It’s a very ‘East Sydney’ type sponsor  I’m just happy we got someone, doesn’t matter how boring they are.

We always seem to have boring financial sponsors for the Champions League.

Surprised The Star aren’t keen on advertising in Asia tbh.

Although I think the ultimate Asian sponsor would have to be Aristocrat.

I thought it was a restriction around advertising a casino for an ACL fixture. I remember joking (?) that the binary option/whatever broker we previously had was basically the same thing.

Shame we couldn’t get De Costi’s on board to cover the AFC lobster quota.

The next ACL season season is going to be the first to officially have a two-year (autumn-to-spring) schedule instead of an all-year-round (spring-to-autumn) schedule since the 2002–03 season.

Australia will be down to 1 club in the comp, the Premiers go into the Group Stage. Two teams will go into the AFC Cup group stage, the Australian Cup winner and the regular season runners up.

Honestly, an AFC Cup GS would be much more interesting, especially if away trips are back on.

Our schedule for April is looking hectic now. Anyone know how APM will look at rescheduling games before end of season? At this stage we have two fixtures per day on 16 April, 19 Apr, and 25 Apr.

I’ve heard that they’ve already got the changes pencilled in — I think the plan is for us (& City, & Victory, if they qualify) to play those late-April matches in midweek before going to the ACL. So the finals will still start at the planned date.

Hopefully the announcement comes soon, because there are only five more Tuesdays before I guess we’d need to depart, and five matches to make up

Suspect at this point they’ve got two revised schedules ready to go, and they’ll release them on Wed morning depending on the Victory v Vissel Kibe result.

Draw up on the Wiki page (group H)

All games in Ho Chi Minh at 16k seater Thống Nháș„t Stadium, all as double headers.
Either 6pm or 9pm kickoffs (UTC+7).
From early April we lose daylight saving so I think should be 9pm or midnight kickoffs in Sydney (UTC+10)

Geez they are really packing the games in

If it’s all at a neutral venue do you need to play twice?

yeah, cause that’s twice the Lobster Platters you’d get if you only played once.
