Hed been in really good form before that so hopefully its just a one off bad game. Definitely not a game AZ would have expected to lose

Not sure this will be a popular opinion, but I think Ryan is a pretty bad keeper.

I think he was a good keeper but, whether it was all the moves, lack of game time or simply age but he has certainly deteriorated in the last few years

Luongo isn’t dead? :open_mouth:

He’s a good keeper, not great and certainly not excellent but I wouldn’t say he’s bad.
He’s a good shot stopper but he’s not that good in the air and the gap between his best performance and is worst performance is quite large. For all of the 9’s you get too many 3’s & 4’s. and not enough 7’s.
His best trait is his ball playing ability which, when he first hit the scene, was well above average for the position. All the good young keepers have that level of distribution now so he’s no longer a standout in that field.

Hearts started 4 Australians?

Yeah and despite having 70% of the ball, Hearts had less shots at goal than St Mirren. Looking at the highlights, St Mirren were denied a clear goal, missed a tap-in, and had other chances. It could’ve been 3 or 4 quite easily. The goal conceded was a big defensive mix-up, too.

Hearts look in trouble this season. Naismith is hardly the fresh air that the club had hoped for after booting Neilson last season.

Biggest test for Ange so far.

Don’t think we’ll win (it’s the Emirates after all) but he’ll no doubt have us playing with no fear.

Head says honourable loss, heart says 2-2.

You smarmy bastard!

Souttar finally given an outing, with 90 minutes in a 3-1 League cup loss at Anfield.
Evidently just a rotation appearance, but you take any minutes you can get in his situation, particularly against a top team.

He did pretty well in the first half. 2nd half Leicester struggled in general, but he certainly wasnt at fault for any of the goals.

The championship is a long brutal season, he should get minutes. But whether he gets enough is another thing.

Ange continues to win.

We struggled to break down Liverpool’s 9 men, but late own goal got the win. Genuinely think 3rd or 4th place is possible this year.
