And that’s why Arnie didn’t pick Langerak, or his son in-law. Massive comments and I hope the media and football community drive home the fact that this is our most successful WC campaign.

Still going to make Christmas lunch a bit awkward. Thought we missed Sainsbury experience against France but obviously all worked out. Seems like he’s gone to most of our games so taken it better than most

But yeah there was a good story on Redders insta of the GK Union (including Crawley) which helps to explain why they decided on keeping that and not unbalancing it with Langerak, for all his abilities and form.
I think its less awkward now though and his decision is vindicated. Had he chosen him, and he flunked, thats a career killer and everyone would’ve wanted Arnie to be sacked. Trent could have been useful but it’s made me respect him even more.
I’d say it’s for the whole squad. I’ve been hanging shit on Arnie for playing Rowles and Baccus but he knows things we don’t internally. He’s gone through some tough times so this time he deserves all the praise he gets and I think deserves far more credit than Ange’s tenure.

Surely they’ll keep Arnie for the Asian Cup now? Initially it was “until the end of the World Cup campaign” which could have meant qualifiers but now means R16 exit at earliest. Would be a weird time to change managers given the seemingly good mood in the camp and the Asian Cup coming on. Unless Arnie really wants to move on.
Or we Bielsa lined up…?
