There have been rumours he’s moving on at the end of the season when his contract expires. He needs to get out of Hearts, in all honesty, if he’s to have any chance of securing a spot in the Socceroos midfield. He has to make Arnie stand up and take notice, because I don’t think Arnie really rates him. He probably deserves more caps than he’s got.
There may be a few DM positions opening up at Sydney next year.

Could it just be that he’s trying to play down the Socceroos link while courting a transfer? Peru is less scary for managers than Australia in terms of both travel and tournament timing.
Considering he’s in the CFG network and actually getting some game time at a decent level, courting other clubs at this point would be a rather silly thing to do. So would whining about not getting a spot in the most competitive area of our Asian Cup squad.
