Even positive events like goals don’t turn the dial on the incredibly unlikely all that much, and if it does swing towards any sort of tension it’s just not something you’d want to sit through.

Only tuned on at ~70 mins, but thought Toure seemed pretty dangerous up front
Satisfying to beat Saudi in front of their home audience to lock in the qualification.

There was a side on angle that looked like it, but in conjunction with the front on shot it showed there was quite a gap between them and the only contact was the slightest brush on Boyle’s shoulder.
Anyhoo, all credit to Arnie for setting this squad up and creating such belief in Qatar. 
Now to just hope all our games are drawn in Canada and Mexico.

Fair crack of the whip to Poppa, weve had some positive results the last couple of windows.
Still think Arnie would have turned it around and was disappointed he left, but it wasnt a great start to WCQ.
12 months now fow players to find clubs that will give them minutes, get some rhythm and form. And an opportunity to play some non Asian teams in friendles.

Didn’t think we’d win twice tbh.
Honestly thought the Saudis would cook up some effort to draw as many possible fouls, dubious penalties and red cards from us as possible.
Yeah, I’m pleased we won and we qualified but honestly the upcoming world cup, world events and America in general makes me feel flat about the tournament.
