Dragging it over from the match thread but there is a tinge of what could have been for me.

I just dont see a “greater than the sum of their parts” dynamic in this team - and that’s what a manager is supposed to give them. I see a pretty impressive group of talented footballers hitting hot and cold streaks under Gustavsson. That to me says he’s not having much of an influence on games.

Absolutely amazing achievement from the Matildas. I think with a better coach they go at least a step further.
