Johnson has been really good. wheeler and Heatley have gone well together as well

There are few things I hate more than someone celebrating hard when they’ve shanked a shit cross into the net. The honesty was refreshing.

I don’t know what Argentina are complaining about. They love the physical stuff apparently.

Charli Grant has really come along very well - she’s better in defence than Carpenter and gives away only a bit in attack now. She’s probably a better option unless we’re chasing a goal.

Good performance from Johnson too. Definitely seeing some green shoots here.

Montemurro has left Lyon and the Tillies are making a big announcement tomorrow.

Joe is in. Exciting

Great news

Yeah that’s a big sign of ambition, very pleasing.

Shame he’s only got remnants of the golden generation to work with, their best years having been completely wasted by Tony.

The golden generation is a myth. We have good talent that needs to be nurtured through the ranks. I feel for the kids who have been overlooked because the same players were getting a call up despite their declining form and fitness.

The women’s Golden Generation were also at their peak as a team just before the major European nations woke up and started taking the game seriously. To reach a similar rank in future, the players individually and as a team will have to be better than the Golden Generation technically and tactically.

Golden generation just means, when Sam Kerr was peak.

Great match so far Matildas v Arg, & an excellent goal, 1-0.

Do we even need a new coach? Just asking

Loved the first cut to Montemurro and he was particularly unimpressed with what he’d seen.

Don’t think that defending will put him in a better mood!

Like how they’ve got those goal nets set back a long way. Must be anticipating some absolute screamers.

At last, the new Viduka.
