I’m pretty drunk right now, I’ll admitt.

But we were always goijg to be up against it. No Lolley, and Talay made what I can only describe as desperate tactics that havent paid off.

The refereeing was absoloutely atrocious. Faghani is the worst referee to have eved held a whistle in the league. Complain about Beath all you want, but he was NEVER as bad as Faghani.

How does Vuka get MOM?

Given our start to the season, the fact we made the semis is a massive achievment.

Talay jas done wonderfully with the team inherited from Corica. He’s got the best part of 6 months to bring in 3 or 4 new foreigners to suit his style. He’s done brilliantly to turn us around this season,

Tonight hurts, and it should. The VAR and officiating argument will never die down. Fucking hurts.

But look, Go the Mariners next week. Fuck the scum.

Also Vuka is just class.

I think it reads like a bunch of fans absolutely fed up with the pathetic officiating on a weekly basis.

Yeah we were missing Lolley

Which has happened all season to every team in the league. And if you read any EPL stuff fans all complaining about the same things. We arent special theres no conspiracy against us. For as long a Ive followed football the “refs have never been this bad”.

Kaltak just confirmed that Fabio didn’t interfere with him.
He didn’t understand how the offside decision was made.

Pick the game where the officiating didn’t completely derail the football:

It’s been horrible.

If you read my post, you would see that I didn’t say we’ve been screwed any worse than the other teams. Even in games like the Macarthur game/s, we’ve commented on how fucking pathetic the decisions were that were in our favour. The game thread where Macarthur ended with nine men was dominated by referee talk, as well.

The comment wasnt so aimed at those complaining it was at those complaining and suggesting theres some conspiracy theory/ match fixing going on against us. Sounds like the wanderers forum

As much as nobody would support Victory at least they played football tonight.

CCM might want to try that in the final if they plan to win.

And apparently some people can’t understand hyperbole, if you think I was actually expecting the organised crime squad to investigate faghani you need to go for a walk.

Anyway we were a bad call away from another Grand Final. After the way the season started it’s not so bad. Disappointing tonight though.

I’d imagine that’s the last we will be seeing of our 2 Brazilians

The officiating across the world has been pathetic this season. It seems like a culmination of bizarre changes in interpretations from IFAB and various FAs to keep up with VAR, and the game has just found itself in a shambles.
Feels as though there’s barely been a weekend gone by without at least one game affected by a really game-changing shocking decision.

There needs to be a long sit down with all the important people in the off season to discuss the VAR problem.

Killing the league slowly but surely. We can’t withstand this shit unlike the EPL.

Im a die hard and it’s getting so fucking hard to watch week in week out.

Anyway good luck CCM but Victory will unfortunately win next week, just like they did against Newcastle. Undeserved but City, Nix, and future Mariners should be ashamed of themselves for letting it happen.

Not to upset about how that played out. Did ourselves no favours with last week. And whilst we totally dominant tonight, we needed to be better in the final third to get through to a GF

I think they will. The circumstances of the tie were such that we had to force the issue. We had a good chance or two, but I don’t think we did it enough, or well enough. Too many square pegs for round holes tonight. Mak does not have the skill set for a #10. JCP doesn’t have the skill set for a left mid. As a result, Caceres was forced to play deeper and that probably blunted his attacking threat.

Next weekend, Mariners can play their normal game and they will almost certainly dominate possession because a Popovic Grand Final team is colossally conservative.

I just want football to be officiated without bullshit VAR, and Faghani, or extra dollop.

I find it fitting that a season that was marred by piss poor VAR decisions was ended by piss poor VAR decisions.

The teams attitude under Talay was a massive improvement over what Corica gave us. We achieved more that I would have expected with Corica in charge.

However, my BiL has tonight informed me that there’s no VAR in The Championship?

How does one watch that league?

Last time I checked, its on beIN sports.

NPL also doesn’t have VAR. I think I’m going to have to watch more of that.
